I’ve been reading more and more about these so-called « nudify » AI apps, and honestly, I can’t wrap my head around how they are still legally accessible in some places. I mean, what happens if someone uses it on a public figure or even just a private person and shares it online? Isn’t that grounds for a lawsuit? Or does the AI-generated nature of the content make the whole thing legally gray? Would love to hear how others view this from a legal or ethical standpoint.

You’re definitely tapping into a major legal blindspot here. A lot of jurisdictions just haven’t caught up yet. It reminds me of how revenge porn laws evolved years ago — reactive, not proactive. AI-generated images, especially deepfakes or nudified versions of real people, fall into this weird gray area where it’s not always considered « real, » even though the impact on the victim absolutely is. Some argue it’s artistic expression, others say it’s outright harassment. I checked out one of these tools just to understand the tech — undress her — and yeah, the process is disturbingly easy. You upload a photo, and in seconds, the AI « undress her » or whoever is in the picture. That kind of accessibility makes regulation even more urgent. The real issue is proving harm when the image isn’t technically « real. » Defamation, misuse of likeness, emotional distress — all might apply, but only if a judge is willing to interpret the laws broadly. It’s a legal minefield.
