Thanks very much! It’s a very simple solution!

    what are looking for?
anyhow, if you press the question mark in the bar, you’ll have the help window appearing, and when you’ll play with values, it will show you the code changed in the script and a way to copy it and format it for either MAX or Processing.
As for changing/creating a curve from an other program, I don’t know.
    good luck!

I’m using mappable max objects to do this!
I’m curious to see your work Hassan 🙂

I’m having the same problem on Ubuntu. See this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwKVkgvRJtg

Whenever I put on object onto the score I then cannot select it. The cursor type never changes.

    Hi,

Just uncheck the « hand » icon in the toolbar!

Hi, I’m new to Iannix and I was wondering if there was a way to make a cursor represent a specific midi channel? The idea being that each trigger then outputs its assigned note value on the channel of the cursor that intersects with it. I initially thought that I could compose my message using something like the group id midi://midi_out/note cursor_group_id 60 120 trigger_duration but this does not work because the group id is a string and the output is therefore not rendered correctly, what I see is midi://from_iannix/note 120 (C9) 120 1. The only way I could see to do this was to use the cursor_id which is an int, but this is impractical as you cant have more than 1 playhead per channel, or to remap one of the x,y,z co-ordinates to a fixed value, but this means losing a dimension of expression. Is there something obvious that I’m missing here?

    Hi!

One trick would be to use the 3rd dimension (z) but it might complexify your score.

    I
But I n fact, your can convert your string parameter into integer by using the in-message JavaScript syntax.
{parseFloat(cursor_group_id)} instead of cursor_group_id It should work!

Thank you very much! in-message JavaScript syntax was exactly what I needed. Is there somewhere I can read more about this?

I don’t think there is documentation on this here https://github.com/buzzinglight/IanniX/wiki
But you can use any Javascript syntax with all the IanniX variables in the message, like {cursor_x * cursor_y + cos(cursor_z)} for example.

I’m still having problems with this. I’ve tried on Ubuntu 18.10 and 19.04 and not getting any midi output.

Have you tried or did you find anything? I was wondering the same thing!

hello, when i make the camera follow the object id of the cursor, the score automatically switches to a vertical view, can this be fixed so that any view and angle can be seen while the camera follows the object id of the cursor? It would help me out for visualizations I will be working on.

Hello, can we place a spectrogram around note number and glissandi? (trigger and curve), i had thought about this but i cant program. I make music and not just visualizations. An aura around the note. Thank you.

    Hi,

Is there a way to map pitch (e.g., in Midicents, from 0 to 12700) or frequency (in Hertz), and time (e.g., in Miliseconds), to the y x and axes of Iannix’s UI? More specifically, I would like to map the y position of Triggers and Curves either to map pitch or frequency, and to map the x position to map time both as onset(attack) and duration in a precise way, and use such mapping(s) to compose with Iannix.

Any hints or insights on this issue would be much appreciated.

    All the best,
    António

    Hi,

I’ve noticed that the large majority of feedback posts of the last couple of years has remained unanswered. Not a blip, only radio silence. Iannix seems to be such an awesome tool, it’s both strange and saddening.

    All the best,
    António
