Hello, making music with Iannix
Hello!
i dont know why it sounds like this at the beginning and towards the end, but these sounds appear and its not what I wrote on the score!
Thanks for sharing your experience/experiment!
Hello! you´re welcome! Guillaume tells me it might be a problem with the network, but the network on IAnnix´s side or Pd´s side?
Iannix team! hello! I want the 3d to work so badly and the color to be how I picture it, ive been trying to find coders but no luck… I can´t do this by myself unfortunetly, Im just a composer, Im a beginner in PD, the ultimate goal is to make 3d printed sculptures with metal or colored plastic. I want this sooo badly, I love Iannix.
I work by putting coordinates in, and the color would gradually change at each instant, I have other ideas, Id love to work with you!
It is a wish of mine!
anyway, THANKS YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE EFFORT PUT INTO IANNIX, I plan on making my whole music work in it. :)!
I even found an arquitect who can help me build a structure for the piece!
Hi,
thanks for your soft, never had the occasion to dig it enough but it sounds really powerful !
Unfortunately I am now on Mac Os sierra, are you at the moment developing a compatible version ? with retina screen as well?
cheers,
Augustin
I’m having trouble opening the scripts on MacOS Sierra – there are no error messages but the files is simply not loaded.
Luckily, there is a workaround that hopefully points to the bug location:
You have to run the app from it’s folder. Easy through Terminal:
cd /Applications/IanniX
/Applications/IanniX/IanniX.app/Contents/MacOS/IanniX
This way IanniX is able to find it’s subfolders and the scores are magically opening again.
hope this helps,
nesa
Hi!
Yes we know this bug (that is not systematic, on our Mac, it’s working well without this workaround). When we’ll have more time, we’ll fix this annoying bug…
Thanks for sharing the tip!
Hello Iannix team! Im going to be using several timelines (8) to be exact in iannix, does the routing change in any way? how do I make the patch in pure data?
I tried already but it didnt work…
and two 2.- is there a limit to how many curves to use per timeline? I had to buy another computer because the last one didnt reproduce 62 curves per timeline, that is why im going to be working with several timelines…
Thank you!
Best, Alejandro.
Hi!
1/ You can have as many timelines as you want ; in PD, you’ll receive as the first parameter after “/cursor” the ID of this cursor. So you can route the messages with the object route followed by the ID of the cursors you want to use. [udpreceive 57120] —> [route /cursor] —> [route 2 4 6 8]
2/ there’s not theoretical limit, but the ressources of the computer will limit. Network, graphical, CPU, it’s not simple to tell you a limit because you can have 1000 timeline-lines, but only 100 complex curves timeline… You must experiment!
